Jefferson Avenue
The Jefferson Avenue project began as a simple paint and update "flip" that turned into a complete renovation. With simple changes and beautiful plans, the property was modernized with the help of our licensed architect. The photos below reveal the stunning results.
01
Tight, dark spaces
Closed off spaces and tight hallways made the 5 bedroom 2 bath house seem small and dark, despite the true size of just over 1700 sq ft. inside.
01
From dark to light
Jefferson opened up with new access ways, clearer modern entries, and bright, neutral colored paint and flooring. The two story became a modern home.
02
Choppy and dark kitchen
The kitchen small and closed off from the rest of the floor. The dark cabinetry and choppy flooring only added to the perception of a small area.
02
Opening tiny spaces
An all new kitchen, with a remarkable island as a focal point, creates a modern appeal while opening the space.
03
About strategic additions
Adding a hall closet to the space these stairs used to occupy, this cramped stairway was relocated nearer to the door.
03
Additions didn't diminish
Despite adding a new downstairs closet and upstairs guest bathroom to the floorplan, the house only seems larger and more open. A new dedicated master bathroom is an added benefit for the new owners.

Original Plans
The original plans were a jumping off place but left many questions - and challenges! With a lower level remaining structurally unchanged, the main floor changed drastically.

Final Plans
We created new open pathways that created space by moving a staircase, adding a hall bathroom, and adding a new coat closet. The final plans included a new vision for the house, especially the kitchen and living room.
